An Ode To Before Sunrise

For years I've had this fantasy about meeting someone one night randomly at a party and spending all night with them just talking and learning and being honest with each other. Through one of my favourite YouTubers I discovered the "Before" trilogy. The first film of the trilogy titled Before Sunrise (1995) tells the story of Jesse and Celine who meet on a train in Europe. After only minutes of conversation, the boy has to get off the train as it's his stop. He has around 12 hours before his flight back home and convinces the girl to get off the train and discover what Vienna has to offer.

Now, I know what you're thinking, that it sounds far-fetched and dangerous to spend the night with a stranger in a foreign city, but I think it's nothing but idyllic. The conversations they have are exactly the types of conversations I wish to have on a daily basis and this movie fulfilled a part of that fantasy for me. I really could not recommend this movie more. I took these pictures this morning before I went to sleep. I consider them my ode to Before Sunrise.

I always feel this pressure of being a strong and independent icon of womanhood, and without making it look my whole life is revolving around some guy. But loving someone, and being loved means so much to me. We always make fun of it and stuff. But isn't everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more? - Celine, Before Sunrise
