I've been blogging for years across various different platforms but only started this blog in May.
Have you had any past online presence (Youtube, Other blog)?
Tumblr has been the biggest one - I've been on Tumblr for six years now (crazy)!
Why did you start your blog?
The main motivation for me to start blogging was to express myself in a more mature way than I was on Tumblr. I've been growing out of tumblr for the last year or so and just wasn't feeling satisfied with my tumblr in the same way that I was before then. This blog allows me to grow and show a different side of myself. I put a lot more effort into this blog than I do my tumblr these days.
When did you become serious about your blog?
Maybe after a couple of months of having it. My blog is still growing but once you slowly start seeing more comments on your posts it makes you even more motivated.
I hope to continue doing what I'm doing - bettering my photography and myself. hopefully I'll have moved to Sydney by October next year and I'll be doing little DIY projects to share here.
What is the most rewarding thing to you about blogging?
I love that people take the time to read my thoughts and see what I'm getting up to. To think that someone is interested in what I do or think is very satisfying and heartwarming to me. The connection with random strangers on the internet that I have never met is stronger than the friendships I have in my real life.
What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you?
When I lose inspiration it's very discouraging. Sometimes I'll have quite a lot of inspiration and make regular posts but then sometimes it drops off and I don't post for awhile. I also find it discouraging when I've done a post but I'm just not happy with it. I'm a bit of a perfectionist sometimes so I get disappointed with myself.
What is your lasting inspiration or motivation?
For me it's what I said above - that I get to connect with people that share similar interests and are super talented. I find other bloggers so inspirational which makes me want to do this even more.
