Friday Favourites

Hi guys!

I thought it would be fun to do a "Friday Favourites" every week or two showcasing the things I've been loving throughout the week and this week it's on beauty products.

First of all is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I've been using this for most of the year and have purchased a second bottle as I could run out any minute! One pump is plenty for my whole face - in fact I think it's too much so yeah, a little goes a long way. I've also loved the Field of Flowers Shower Gel by Philosophy. My mum went to Singapore a few months ago and brought it back for me and I absolutely love it! When I first saw the title I thought "I probably won't like this" because I'm not a flowery scent kind of person but it's such a soothing, clean, girly, beautiful scent and I'm obsessed with it.

Teenage Dream from the OPI Katy Perry collection has been really fun to play with. I usually only use it on one 'feature' nail as it's so damn hard to remove but it's really pretty and applies evenly. I bought the Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream by Lush after I heard amarixe talk about it. I didn't expect it to actually have any firming effect or actually make a difference - I just use it as a regular all over body moisturiser. The scent is really strong so I recommend smelling before buying. I like it - it's very long lasting and I can smell it all day. It's a great follow up to the Philosophy shower gel.

I've just been loving these two nail polish colours - they're very me. I am obsessed with mint and the blue is to die for.

Revlon 'Minted' // Sally Hansen 'Pacific Blue'
Sadly I don't know the name of this Revlon polish but I do know it's relatively new to the line and they still have it in stores! I have this blue/purple/silver one and a more green-toned one and they're both perfect. The formula is absolutely perfect, it dries in a decent amount of time (for a polish) and you only need one coat (but I always do two). Could not recommend these polishes more. Unfortunately my Midnight Fantasy has been broken for some time and I finally chucked it out this week. I thought it was about time because it was just taking up space. It was such a nice scent though, I'd spray it around my room all the time.

This Biore Daily Detoxify Scrub is so brilliant! I bought it when I was in Sydney and I'm so glad I did. It really makes my skin feel clean, it feels like it gets all the gunk off my face without being too abrasive. I love using it in the morning and then following up with the Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser. The moisturiser is really great before foundation though I always let it sink in for 10-20 minutes before applying makeup.

The Loreal primer has been a favourite of mine for a few years now. I'm on to my third jar of this and feel lost without it - it's such an essential. Annoyingly for me I have quite large pores and this just helps with that allowing my foundation to go on much more smoothly. I follow up with the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and Stay Matte Powder and finish off with Benefit's Hervana blush. I have a problematic skin tone and most of the time blush doesn't even show up on me but I love this one because it adds colour without being too much. It's a very girly light pink but not an unnatural tone on my face.

Hope you enjoyed! Let me know what you've been loving this week in the comments...

  1. I am so bummed that my skin is as pale as it can get and the Rimmel foundation is too dark for me... (or any other foundation for that matter)I hear so many great things about it... And Revlon nail polishes are so great!

    1. Aww that's a bummer! I actually have a really annoying skin tone and I wish it was paler so I feel your pain (but in the opposite way haha). Revlon polishes really are awesome, I love most of the ones I've got from them.
